Water line to ice maker bursts, causes major damage

It's every homeowners nightmare: you wake up and discover a water leak has caused major damage throughout your home.

In this case, it was the water line to the ice maker. Yes, that small line that connects the appliance to your water line under the sink.

Unfortunately, this small line leak is enough to soak the kitchen, living room and laundry room.

We removed the wet carpet and pad, baseboards and vinyl flooring, and drilled holes in the cabinetry to allow for proper drying.

Within a week, all affected areas were dry, new carpet was scheduled for installation, and the homeowner was ready to enjoy her home again "Like it never even happened."
