Not up to code, and not up to the task

When we arrive on site to a water damage claim, we often have to search for the source.
Not in this case. The moment our technicians arrived and saw this set up, they knew that not only had the water heater gone out, but the installation was certainly not proper.
Continued inspection showed water had seeped through the wall and into the living room, saturating insulation and the wood floors.
After determining what city code required to remove, replace, and relocate a new unit, we provided the customer with an estimate as well as the estimated time of completion.
They were very happy to know that the drying process would only take three days, and the restoration would be completed within the week.
